We’re a small business, run by real people with a big passion for food, oh and we have a whole lot of heritage to our name, to boot. 

You’ll find Simply Cooking in a very unassuming corner of rural North Dorset. Located in Spire Hill, we’re ‘just down the road’ from nearby towns, Stalbridge and Milborne Port. The views from our windows feature rolling hills and the bleats and moos of the very friendly locals drift through our open doors on a sunnier day. With ample parking right outside our shopfront, look out for our abundant herb planters which front our kitchen. 

Simply Cooking was founded over 30 years ago by an old friend and the keenest cook we know, Wendy. Many of Wendy’s handwritten recipe cards are still exactly as we follow today – a true testament to the classic cakes and bakes we’re producing! The S.C baton has been handed through a few fiendish foodies over the years, but in April 2026, Annabel, took over the reins. It’s Annabel and her team who today you’ll find cooking up a storm in the kitchen, nattering at the end of the phone, or selling with a smile at the farmer’s markets we attend.
